History

The organization started in conjunction with the Barbican Theatre. This lasted for a period of about three years. Then the City of Plymouth began to introduce an overall waterfront tourism and business policy, covering all aspects of the area, hence the origins of our name.

After that, our venue moved from place to place, when it was difficult to combine economy with access for the disabled.

We became known for our performances in theatre, street festivals, at readings in libraries and for various other community support activities. We have so far printed three anthologies and another is in the pipeline. Watch this space!
